“Why Your Dog Suddenly Has More Energy (and what to do with it)”

Intro

Every year it happens.

The weather picks up, the evenings get longer…and suddenly your dog has opinions.

More energy.More pacing.More “what are we doing now?”

It’s great -

until you realise you’re the one expected to keep up.

The spring switch

Dogs notice the change in seasons just as much as we do.

More light, more smells, more time outside - it all adds up.

While a longer walk helps, it doesn’t always solve it.

Because it’s not just about being tired. It’s about being occupied.

The bit no one really tells you about why your dog can suddenly change

You can walk them for miles…

and still come home to a dog that’s wandering around, looking at you like you’ve missed something.

That’s usually your cue that they need something else - not more exercise, but something to do.

Chewing, sniffing, figuring things out

The things that actually make a difference are usually the simplest:

  • something to chew

  • something to work out

  • something that takes a bit of time

It gives them a focus - and, if we’re being honest, gives you a break too.

Real life version

This is usually the point where you just want to sit down with a coffee…

and your dog is very clearly not on the same page. 😅

Having something to hand that keeps them busy for a bit is one of those small things that makes a big difference.

A small solution (that actually helps)

We pulled together a simple dog gift bag with exactly that in mind -

treats, a natural coffee wood chew and something to keep them occupied for a bit longer than five minutes.

Nothing overcomplicated. Just things that work.

Outro

Spring is great.

It just comes with a slightly more energetic version of your dog.

A little bit of structure (and something to keep them busy) goes a long way.
